[that song forever in my head]
ANYWAY.
The past... month? or so I've spent either a) driving my sister and friends to and from rehearsals, performances, etc. for her drumline group, b) cleaning, cooking, etc. because my mom is busy angsting, or c) working/rehearsing. Sleeping and eating are definitely in there somewhere (maybe). Courtesy of the DDOS and my phone rage-hating on LJ, I haven't been on here much :/ To make things more wonderfundle, my paypal login info was compromised - I logged in to print address labels from my laptop for shipping, found that the printer had decided to hate me again (for some reason, it's a 50-50 chance for things to print correctly when printing wireless). So I logged in on my mom's computer, since that's the one with a direct connection to the printer... and discovered after I logged in that my mom had managed to install not one, not two, but three browser-hijacking add-ons to Firefox. Yaaaaaay. But thankfully I'd noticed and was able to change my info as well as remove all the nastiness =___= Better than my dad, who managed to kill his one-year-old laptop last week.
My sister's drumline group, Breakthrough, wound up finishing third in the state. They had a rather epic mess-up at their state performance - the host school didn't plug in the power to the sound equipment, so when the intro sound clips were supposed to play... nothing happened. XD; Thankfully, there weren't any mistakes after the initial confusion. Their rival group, Dark Sky (the one my sister almost joined) took first, but since the groups performed back-to-back, Breakthrough didn't get to watch them perform. Oddly enough, there's still more rehearsals, even though they're done for the year >__> It's an hour drive to drop everyone off at practice. Boo.
Also, re: my mom angsting - she's spent the past month angsting and blaming things on her chemo, though her treatment's been over for a while now (aside from rituxan). It's mostly because this was about the time last year when she was diagnosed, and one of her lymph nodes is slightly swollen :x The doctor said it wasn't anything in particular to worry about, and in general they're not going to do many more scans (since they don't want to expose her to any extra radiation). She's still freaking out, even if she refuses to acknowledge it.
As for work - I've trained a new barista each week for the past... while. Two of them worked out quite well, while another still needs some extra focus. The others... well, I did tell the hiring rep that they wouldn't work out, but she didn't listen to me. Meh. Now things seem to be settled in terms of our crew, though, which is good. Lol, my entire crew is female, now. Everything's so goddamn clean all the time not that it wasn't before, but there's a difference between girl-clean and boy-clean. I love it ♥
Collection stuff... Lost a ponyta picture frame since I missed the end of the ebay auction ;A; but! Came back to LJ in time to win a deoxys pokedoll notebook (completely adorable), and sent an email with all the search terms I need for y!j (my phone won't let me install japanese fonts?) so I was able to find and win this beauty, which I'm still in awe over. I swear, I spent half the day logging in to Noppin to affirm the fact that I'd indeed won.
(I don't suppose any Keldeo merchandise has been announced?)
This would be longer, but I'm pretty much exhausted - I spend my 'free time' catching up on sleep. Ending this entry with my current party on VDex, the only game/website I've used more than a few times during my long absence.

Date: 2011-04-15 11:09 pm (UTC)That Pokedoll tin is so adorable and it seem that you won it for a good price too. Pokedoll stuff is always so cute.
Yesterday (was Thursday), my friend played 99 Red Balloons on her phone. I had never heard it before. It's such a sad song but has such a happy beat.
I hope life settles down a bit. ^^
I never managed to thank you for being my messager, so THANK YOU! :D
Dream World opened, in case you didn't know. :3

I don't think I could handle half as much as what you have been, so good on you. :)
